Early seventies two brothers of the Westdijk family started up their own company for transport. A couple of years later a third one joined them. The purchase of the first low loader in 1978 was the basis for the current companies, which specialized from that moment in moving machinery and offered related services. One issue hasn't changed from the very beginning Westdijk is a close family company. Many of our drivers, mechanics, planners and administrative employees are relatives of the original founders.

From 1978 onwards the company expanded rapidly and therefore some 20 years ago the company moved from Hazerswoude to an industrial estate in Alphen aan den Rijn with no less than 10.000 square meters for storage and maintenance of the large fleet.

The combination of a clear vision, pioneer-spirit and a constant improvement of methods has made Westdijk b.v. to what it is today the positive experiences from our clients have completed the acquaintance of our name, nationally as well as internationally.
