Westdijk is strong in rail transport. Westdijk has been transporting the new NS sprinters for several years now. These trains are picked up by our professionals in Rotterdam. The Malfi trailers were unloaded and the train set was transferred to our own trailers. The trains are then delivered to the depot in Amsterdam, where they are further dismantled. A sprinter has a length of 24 m, which means that the total loaded loaded transport is no less than 41 meters.
The vehicles used for the metro are also transported by Westdijk. These come in parts from Spain and are brought to Amsterdam, where they are assembled.
